I am so exhausted tonight. I can’t even begin to think of something to write about.
I promised myself that I would try my best to write for the 31 days.
So, I’m writing something, even if it’s nothing.
This is becoming more and more of a challenge for me as each day goes by.
My days almost always consist of the same routine, so coming up with new ideas is proving to be quite difficult.
But, I’m still writing something, even if it’s nothing.
I have to start looking at daily events in a different way. What is the phrase I hear people say? “Living your life as a writer?”
Tomorrow is a brand new day. Hopefully I will see something or experience something that matters enough to put into words.
But for tonight, I still wrote something, even if it was nothing.
Even if you think it’s nothing, it’s still writing. You can do it! Almost halfway there!

This piece carries a certain rhythm as it progresses. Not bad for “nothing”! I actually like it.

Thank you! It makes me feel better. I sort of feel like I cheated tonight. I even told my husband not to read it because it was nothing!

For a nothing kind of day, your poem is certainly something! Don’t give up now! If you can make it this far, you can finish. 🙂

Heck, yeah, you did! Congratulations – to me, this is the heart of the whole thing – and so helpful for me when I confer with students!! Think of all you’re learning from your lack of inspiration in the blog slog! 🙂

I felt the same way tonight. I didn’t get to it until later than normal. It is a challenge to always find time for writing. I am motivated to make the time because I want to see it through to the end as well as to become a better write. Thank you for sharing your heart and feelings in your writing.

You made “something” out of “nothing.” What a cute slice. How is it that sometimes you have so many ideas, it’s hard to choose and other times…NOTHING? Keep on sister. You are doing a great job!

Good for you! I feel that way too sometimes during this challenge and yesterday, I just didn’t write. Woops. Thanks for showing me that it’s ok to just write about not having anything to write about!
